Make an Impact Where It Matters Most

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a Data Scientist to support a federal client responsible for a highly visible, consumer-facing online product. This role focuses on advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data science using the Databricks platform to drive insights into customer behavior, retention, and churn.

You will work with large-scale data to uncover trends and patterns, validate hypotheses through statistical modeling, and deliver actionable insights that directly influence product and program decisions.


Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will:

  • Analyze complex, large-scale datasets using the Databricks platform
  • Apply predictive modeling and advanced analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover anomalies and relationships in consumer data
  • Design and apply statistical tests and models to validate hypotheses related to customer retention and churn
  • Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Support big data collection, cleaning, transformation, and preparation activities
  • Implement analytical and machine learning solutions using Python and SQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting a high-visibility digital product
  • Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences

Schedule & Work Model

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Local to Washington, D.C. preferred

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required (U.S. citizens or dual citizens only)
  • Public Trust clearance or higher required
  • 7–10 years of experience in predictive modeling and advanced analytics
  • 3–5 years of experience with data visualization and analytical reporting
  • 10+ years of experience using the Databricks platform for analytics and data science
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting big data engineering or large-scale data pipelines
  • 10+ years of experience applying data science methodologies in production environments
  • Advanced expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analytics, and machine learning
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and model validation
  • Experience working with consumer or product-focused data preferred
  • Experience supporting government or regulated environments is a plus
