Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a skilled Databricks Engineer to support a federal client in modernizing enterprise data platforms and advancing mission-critical analytics capabilities in a secure environment.

In this role, you will support legacy migration and modernization initiatives by designing, refactoring, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines within Azure Databricks environments. You will play a key role in enabling secure, high-performance analytics solutions that support federal operations and data-driven decision-making.

What You’ll Do

As a Databricks Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake
  • Modernize legacy data solutions and migrate workloads into Azure Databricks environments
  • Engineer and optimize robust data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, cloud storage platforms, and streaming services
  • Implement and support enterprise data lake solutions to enable analytics and business intelligence initiatives
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions
  • Develop user stories, technical documentation, and acceptance criteria to support Agile delivery processes
  • Support data cleansing, harmonization, transformation, and integration efforts across enterprise systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient data operations

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Part-time (approximately 20 hours/week)
  • Remote work environment
  • Support required during standard East Coast business hours

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Secret clearance required or higher
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Databricks platform engineering and enterprise data pipeline development
  • Demonstrated Advanced experience with:
    • Databricks Platform
    • Microsoft Azure Databricks
    • Azure DevOps Pipelines
    • Python and PySpark development
    • Spark SQL and Delta Lake
    • ETL/ELT pipeline engineering and optimization
  • Experience integrating enterprise data from cloud, API, database, and streaming sources
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
