Senior Analytics Practitioner
Location: Washington, D.C. – supporting Department of Education programs
Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking an Analytics Practitioner to help transform raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions for a federal education client. You will play a key role in supporting analytics, reporting, and visualization efforts that enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.
As an Analytics Practitioner, you will:
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support organizational goals
Build dashboards and visualizations using Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, and MS Excel to communicate findings effectively
Develop detailed reports summarizing analytical outcomes with clear, actionable recommendations
Perform data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation to ensure data quality and consistency
Leverage SQL and statistical tools (e.g., R, SPSS) for data exploration and predictive analysis
Support Agile delivery and SDLC processes including user story documentation, testing, and iterative improvement
Present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support informed decision-making
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Hybrid in Washington, D.C.; support during East Coast business hours
Salary: $120,000
U.S. Citizenship required (Dual Citizens acceptable)
Public Trust clearance required or higher
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data analysis, visualization, or business intelligence
Demonstrated experience with:
Data Modeling – 0–2 years
Applied Machine Learning – 0–2 years
Data Visualization – 0–2 years
Databricks Platform – 3–5 years
Contribute to high-impact education analytics initiatives
Collaborate with innovative, mission-driven data professionals
Hybrid flexibility while working on projects that improve access to data and insights across federal systems
