Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator to support a federal program in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and integrity of mission-critical database systems operating in a secure DoD environment.
You will develop and tune SQL queries, optimize database structures, implement design changes, and ensure reliable operations that directly support national-level objectives.
As a SQL Database Administrator, you will:
Serve as the primary Application DBA supporting SQL database operations
Develop and optimize SQL reporting queries for mission applications
Troubleshoot database issues and provide root-cause analysis
Perform database and SQL statement performance tuning
Review and implement database design changes to meet system requirements
Write and maintain SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
Support deployment activities and ensure reliable database performance
Collaborate with engineering, application, and security teams in a fast-paced environment
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
Required in office Tuesday–Thursday (3 days/week)
Weekend or flexible hours may be required based on mission needs
U.S. Citizenship required
DoD Secret Clearance
Minimum 3–5 years experience writing and tuning SQL queries
Minimum 3–5 years experience designing and implementing database structures
Minimum 3–5 years SQL coding/scripting experience
Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language) fundamentals and best practices
Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Colorado Springs, CO
Preferred Qualifications
0–2+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Experience supporting large-scale federal IT programs
Familiarity with the SAFe Agile delivery framework
Contribute to secure, high-impact database operations for federal missions
