Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Specialist to support a large-scale federal program focused on enrollment operations, data integrity, reporting automation, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will serve as a critical contributor supporting mission-driven federal initiatives by leading operational improvements, managing high-visibility client deliverables, and driving automation across enrollment and reporting workflows. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership experience, client communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Business Operations Specialist, you will:

  • Manage and resolve escalated enrollment cases, including complex and high-priority customer issues
  • Lead recurring Enrollment Data Quality meetings with federal stakeholders
  • Create and manage bug tickets to track and resolve system issues impacting enrollment workflows
  • Support schools and partner institutions with spreadsheet submission and processing issues
  • Develop, maintain, and automate queries, reports, dashboards, and operational metrics for clients and internal teams
  • Maintain and support Daily Production Reports and operational reporting processes
  • Create and deliver ad hoc OMR reports and clearinghouse rosters within required deadlines
  • Prepare and maintain annual production calendars and operational schedules
  • Build and maintain Python scripts to automate enrollment data processing and overnight query execution
  • Enhance Excel-based reporting tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Support system release activities by writing and executing Post-Implementation Verification (PIV) scripts
  • Develop verification procedures and regression test cases for new releases
  • Lead cross-functional projects involving new business processes, system integrations, and feature enhancements
  • Coordinate database integration activities to support communication between multiple operational systems
  • Collaborate on website and system enhancements, including roster request functionality and reporting improvements
  • Serve as a key point of contact during major system releases and go-live activities
  • Train new and existing team members on enrollment operations, reporting tools, and workflows
  • Develop comprehensive process documentation and Confluence knowledge guides
  • Support operational continuity and knowledge transfer during periods of staff transition and organizational growth

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Remote work environment
  • Support required during East Coast business hours

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Public Trust clearance required or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations, enrollment management, program administration, or related operational support environments
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing Python scripts for automation, data processing, or reporting workflows
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with advanced Microsoft Excel reporting and automation capabilities
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience writing SQL queries and generating database reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience supporting client-facing operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and operational priorities
  • Experience training staff members and documenting operational procedures and workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal government contracts or federal agency clients such as FSA or the Department of Education
  • Familiarity with student enrollment systems, clearinghouse operations, or Title IV programs
  • Experience using Confluence, Jira, or similar documentation and project management platforms
  • Exposure to software release management and Post-Implementation Verification (PIV) activities
  • Knowledge of database architecture and cross-system integration processes
