Senior ServiceNow Developer
Location: Washington, D.C. – supporting federal agency operations
Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support a federal client in designing and implementing complex workflows, integrations, and platform enhancements that drive mission-critical operations.
In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end ServiceNow development — from architecture through delivery — ensuring seamless configuration, optimized performance, and secure integration across systems. You’ll play a key role in enabling the client to execute business processes efficiently while maintaining a scalable, compliant, and high-performing ServiceNow environment.
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will:
Design, configure, and implement complex workflows, automations, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
Develop, deliver, and support production operations for the ServiceNow environment.
Lead efforts across all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from concept to deployment.
Customize and extend core ServiceNow modules to meet evolving mission requirements.
Collaborate with architects, administrators, and cross-functional Agile teams to align solutions with business and security needs.
Optimize system functionality to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
Maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and best practice guidelines.
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Onsite in Washington, D.C.; hybrid flexibility may be considered
Support required during standard East Coast business hours
U.S. Citizenship required
Public Trust clearance required (or higher)
Minimum of 10+ years of experience developing and maintaining ServiceNow systems
Active ServiceNow Developer Certification required
Demonstrated expertise with:
IT Service Management (ITSM)
IT Operations Management (ITOM)
Software Asset Management (SAM/ITAM)
Vulnerability Response (VR)
Integrated Risk Management (IRM)
Security Incident Response (SIR)
Strong understanding of SAFe Agile methodologies and Agile team practices
Proven ability to configure complex workflows, integrations, and automation within ServiceNow
Experience with advanced platform customization, scripting (JavaScript/Glide), and API integrations
Familiarity with Now Assist and AI-driven ServiceNow enhancements preferred
Drive secure, high-impact modernization initiatives for critical federal systems
Collaborate with experienced ServiceNow experts in a mission-driven, Agile environment
