Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is a certified HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting Federal customers with mission-focused technology, professional services, and operational support. We are building a team for the anticipated Department of State Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) effort supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology, Enterprise Applications Directorate, Office of Consular Systems and Technology.
Design, engineer, modernize, and implement resilient physical, virtual, containerized, and cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical consular systems. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.
• Develop enterprise infrastructure architectures, engineering designs, implementation plans, supportability assessments, and migration impact analyses.
• Engineer Windows and Linux server, storage, virtualization, hyperconverged, container, and hybrid/multi-cloud solutions.
• Design resilient architectures incorporating redundancy, high availability, load balancing, backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery requirements.
• Implement infrastructure automation and orchestration using Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, or equivalent tools.
• Support lifecycle modernization, hardware and software refreshes, cloud migration, technology evaluation, and standardization initiatives.
• Collaborate with architecture review boards, security teams, operations, application teams, and Government stakeholders throughout SDLC and deployment gates.
• Produce architecture diagrams, build documentation, risk analyses, testing plans, as-built configurations, and operational transition materials.
• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience across Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Experience with VMware or equivalent virtualization and enterprise server/storage architecture.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with IaaS/PaaS design and FedRAMP-authorized cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or OCI.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Active Secret clearance; certain assignments may require Top Secret.
• AWS, Azure, OCI, VMware, Red Hat, Microsoft, or Kubernetes certification.
• Experience supporting Department of State, global infrastructure, or mission-critical Federal systems.
• Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure, SDDC, AI-enabled operations, or cloud disaster recovery.
