Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is a certified HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting Federal customers with mission-focused technology, professional services, and operational support. We are building a team for the anticipated Department of State Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) effort supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology, Enterprise Applications Directorate, Office of Consular Systems and Technology.
Engineer and modernize secure, highly available enterprise network architectures supporting domestic facilities, overseas posts, data centers, cloud services, DMZs, and interagency connectivity. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.
• Design WAN, LAN, VLAN, routing, switching, firewall, load-balancing, remote-access, and high-availability network architectures.
• Develop engineering designs for network upgrades, data-center connectivity, DMZs, public-facing infrastructure, cloud integration, and resilient communications.
• Support integration and data exchange with Department and interagency partners, including connectivity to numerous Federal organizations.
• Prepare network diagrams, technical standards, implementation plans, security documentation, risk assessments, and testing procedures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend network modernization, automation, bandwidth optimization, and performance improvements.
• Coordinate design reviews, architecture governance, firewall rule reviews, change management, implementation, and operational transition.
• Provide Tier III engineering support for complex network issues and collaborate with network operations teams through deployment and stabilization.
• 5+ years of network engineering and design experience.
• Experience engineering WAN/LAN upgrades, routing, switching, load balancing, firewalls, and high-availability architectures.
• Knowledge of DMZ design, cloud networking, public-facing infrastructure, and secure interagency connectivity.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, network security, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to produce detailed engineering documentation and support governance and change-control processes.
• Active Secret clearance; certain assignments may require Top Secret.
• CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, F5, cloud-networking, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting Department of State or global Federal networks.
• Experience with network automation, software-defined networking, or AI-driven network monitoring.
