Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is a certified HUBZone and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business supporting Federal customers with mission-focused technology, professional services, and operational support. We are building a team for the anticipated Department of State Global Mission Operations Support (GMOS) effort supporting the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology, Enterprise Applications Directorate, Office of Consular Systems and Technology.
Assemble, configure, image, test, document, package, and prepare IT equipment for secure shipment and deployment to domestic and worldwide locations. This position supports the Department of State Consular Affairs global information technology environment, which includes domestic and overseas facilities, on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms, applications, databases, and enterprise support services. This is a contingent position based on contract award and final customer requirements.
• Receive fulfillment requests and assemble complete equipment packages in accordance with approved configurations and shipping standards.
• Image, configure, patch, label, test, and quality-check workstations, servers, peripherals, and accessories before shipment.
• Verify serial numbers, asset tags, configuration details, software loads, licenses, packing lists, and destination requirements.
• Prepare secure packaging and coordinate handoff to shipping, warehouse, asset, and deployment teams.
• Document fulfillment status, exceptions, testing results, chain of custody, and shipment readiness in approved systems.
• Maintain organized staging areas, tools, spares, and consumables and support workload prioritization during surge periods.
• Identify configuration or equipment issues and coordinate corrective action before release for shipment.
• 2+ years of experience assembling, testing, imaging, configuring, or fulfilling IT equipment.
• Experience with workstation and/or server configuration before shipment.
• Ability to follow detailed technical build instructions, checklists, and quality-control procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and asset-accountability practices.
• Ability to safely handle, package, and stage IT equipment in a warehouse environment.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Familiarity with Department of State or Diplomatic Security shipping standards, including 14 FAM.
• Experience with enterprise imaging, MECM, hardware diagnostics, or automated build tools.
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent technical certification.
